I assume you had a Bloody Mary, a steak sandwich and a .....steak sandwich.

Dang Joe. You always do this to me. First it was, " I did blah, blah, blah...now enjoying some refrigerated HHBIB". So I went and bought some, did the refrigerator thingy and said " holy shite, that's a kickbooty summer pour, and damn good bourbon to boot."

Now you get into the MC thing, and I'm thinking " I have a couple family sized bottles in the bunker and I've kind of forgot about them this summer..for what ever reason. Dang that sounds good." So I pop a bottle, and all is good in this world and in Piqua.

You are the BOTY for a reason. .:thankyousign:

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

The weather has driven me to 80 proof (BH) for the evening. Now that I'm sufficiently "warmed up", I'm seriously considering a ECBP (over ice) with a cigar.

Putting a good dent in a store selection FR OBSQ. The floral note was really strong with the first pour. Now it's all spice, spice and more spice.

Last pour of the EB SB, followed up by some Bulleit 10. As soon as this one's done, I'm going to crack open one of the FRSB selections I've been purchasing of late.

A little EWSB 2003. There is a 2002 version at a local store, is it worth picking up? Or will it taste like the '03?

The taste will not be the same but will be similar. The thing about single barrel expressions is some barrels will age out a bit better than others but each years release of EWSB is made up of a group of specially selected barrels.

ECBP 1st and 2nd side by side. 2nd is hotter and missing some of the nuances of the 1st when tasted neat in Glencairns. (Although it was newly opened and the 1st was about half gone). Adding some water to the second brought them on level terms and hard to distinguish at that point. Would like to compare again after the 2nd has some air time.

Tried the the WT Forgiven and well I agree with most of the reviews out there. Sipping on some BMH now.

Not big on mixing with my Bourbon but made an apple sour with SAOS Rye to soothe the headache from last night's libations. Very nice drink but will be moving on to something neat in a little bit.

Running low on this Willett Family Estate 8yr Barrel 775, 61.85% bottle - poured off a sample for the library & some for me too:

This bottle has been the best open bottle of bourbon in my cabinet since about a month after I popped it.

Had a couple pours of Jefferson's Reserve that's been open for 3 months. Didn't enjoy the first pour 3 months ago but enjoyed these two pours tonight. Followed by a pour of ECBP137 (tasty) and currently finishing with a pour of OGD114. This OGD114 is really tasty!!!

Consumed two full bottles of Four Roses over the weekend with friends while camping, a store selection single barrel and yellow label, which was the only FR I could find in a nearby small town when the SB ran dry on the first night. I haven't been drinking 80 proof for a long while, but the FRYL is making me rethink that decision.

someone somewhere said 4r is our stitzel-weller and i might be inclined to agree. had more than a few pours of the yellow label after a few days of drinking bibs and high-proofers. it went down like honey.

Spent the weekend at a lakehouse with friends drinking FRSmB. Upon returning home I finished off a bottle of Lot B and followed up with a pour of ECBP. A good weekend. :grin:

Enjoyed a very nice 2.5x pour of VWFRR last night during the straightbourbon.com online fantasy football draft. It had been far too long since I'd allowed myself to enjoy any. So creamy and good.
