as someone who loves bookers i must agree

much more wood in ECBP but those layers of gooey fudge fire deliciousness seems like it'd be something 393foureyedfox would like.

Yeah, I should have said that as well, I'm a fan of Bookers but the ECBP is at the top of my list right now. It hits all the right spots for me.

Ditto - I like Bookers and love the fact that it is so accessible (I wonder if Stagg Jr and ECBP might lift its sales just by opening more eyes to it?) But I also think ECBP would be my choice between the two. Which is great news for those who love Bookers! :D

Had a pour from a 2002 EWSB store selection. I can't put my finger on it but something about it just isn't right. I'm hoping to get a bit more out of it once it's been open for a bit.

For the love of Pete, will somebody sell this man an ECBP?!?!?! :D

FEF, if you don't have one by KBF, I'll bring you one and sell it to you under your $30 threshold, if you promise not to mention that you can't find one again...:skep:

I guess I'll go ahead and just plant the seed here that I have been looking REALLY hard for a WT12 Cheesy Gold Foil, that I refuse to pay more than $50 for any bottle, and that I really want one

(this, of course, is a joke and I think it's noble that you will part with a bottle... I tried to figure out a way to do the same, but I didn't pick up enough of them to spare one without some outlook on getting another... just another reason why this site and its people are great)

Had some Parkers Heritage Collection cognac finish last night and woke up with it still on my mind. Good stuff.

I am with MJB and think the ECBP is easily better than Booker's. They are very different though and I hadn't had a bottle of Booker's open for a while and quite like this as a diversion. I find Booker's spicy, sweet, and a little citrusy. I find ECBP dark, woody, and full of more carmel, vanilla, and molasses notes. Very different pours.

Wish I could get some ECBP, but I may have to wait til next year at this point.

Been consoling myself with a nice pour of Fighting Cock the last two nights.. and maybe another tonight!

Just living in KY doesn't guarantee you access to anything. Hell, makes it harder sometimes. Such is life.

Just finished the last pour of EWSB. This 2003 really opened up nicely after a little air time... what a most delicious bottle it was.

Long, but decent day at work. Poured some ER 10 when I got home. Hate to say it, but I'm just trying to finish this bottle. Not as good to me as it once was. :frown:

Another vote for a long day at work. Too many meetings, can't get anything done. But MM46 is making it all go away.

Having some Weller 12 tonight.

Which reminds me, I had a customer come into the store the other day and tell me he was looking for "W.L Willett" bourbon. I tried to politely inform him about W.L. Weller and Willett and how they were different brands. Let's just say he was quite insistent that it was, in fact, "W.L. Willett" and subtly implied I didn't know what I was talking about.

Customers really do say the darndest things sometimes.

Maybe that's his version of Forgiven?
