humchan2k
How is Canon not on this list!!? I'm glad they got Liberty, that is my JAM in Seattle (as I've said many times,) but Canon's Captain's List of vintage spirits is the best in the country, hands down. Where else can you get old bourbon from the 20's and 30's apart from Canon? Right, nowhere.
savagehenry
woweeeLooks like a fun place with a good selection and price!GTS/WLW - $13PVW15 -$16V17, W20, W21 ,etcDefinitely I would want to go there. They just got a bottle of GTS but the price went to $16.You won't see any PVW, and I think the older Willet's are gone.Still a great spot though. Wryguy
This list of the 55 best bourbon bars seems pretty full of holes, missing bars entirely and giving inaccurate information. No mention of Jack Rose in DC, the Shangri-La of North American whiskey bars? http://jackrosediningsaloon.com/?no_redirect=true

WhiskyRI
Since we are on Seattle, don't miss the Zig Zag Bar just down the stairs from Pikes Market. Lots of older Willett and super cool staff. http://zigzagseattle.com/ - you can see some of the bourbons on offer in the pictures on the web site. humchan2k
umm no I know of a few places. Please enlighten us if you know a bar you can go to, on any given day, and buy rare whiskey from the 20's-60's by the glass....I need to go there.
Yeti
None here in WV ... Isn't that the truth. Although a fellow SB member visiting from GA found some ER101 at the Chop House and promptly finished the bottle. I guess there are treasures waiting everywhere. Dolph Lundgren
Please enlighten us if you know a bar you can go to, on any given day, and buy rare whiskey from the 20's-60's by the glass....I need to go there. The bar Brett works at, Deliliahs, has tons of rare, geriatric whiskey sitting around. Rather than spend $500-$600 bones on a bottle of A.H. Hirsch, you can get a pour for $30 bucks at Ds. Tons of dusty's from $15-$20 a pour. I've been to some decent bourbon bars, but Ds always takes the cake when it comes to selection and variety. Mike Miller started hoarding whiskey before it was cool. There is also more behind the bar (or under the shelf) than what is on the menu, and there are quite of few old-timey pours sitting on their shelves. So if you're in Chicago, do you self a favor and stop by Ds. I also hear Jack Rose in DC is the same way, but I haven't had the chance to trek out there, yet. Rkkingsley
Went to one of the top 55 (Yardbird in Miami) this past week. They had William Larue Weller on the menu for $16. Never had it and was excited to try it. Ordered it and the guy pulled out the WSR. I pointed out the mistake and was met with a blank expression. Bummer. Should've seen it coming since JPS18 was $27 and and the VWFRR was listed as Pappy 13. Honestly, though, their selection was good (and pricey). gooneygoogoo
Mac McGee in Decatur GA has a great selection, prices, and whiskey club events. They brought in Eddie Russell recently and it was a very private tasting with only about 8-10 people. They do a great job with very friendly staff. http://macmcgeeirishpub.com/decatur/whiskey They have a lot of others that are not on this list. It will cause you to drink...) so haven't been yet to see what it is like.
