CoMobourbon
I have managed to pack away quite a few away of the following W12,Ritt BIB,HH 6yr and WTR101.I think we can all agree with fear three things the most in our world, shortages, rising prices and change and I want to be well prepared for all three. 393foureyedfox
im not one for stocking up. i do have a stockpile of KC120 though. not because i thought it was going away or changing, or anything. it was because the store i frequent decided to stop carrying it as its a slow mover in this end of town, and put their whole stock of it at half price. i love this stuff and know ill never again see a $40 bottle priced at $18, so i bought every single one they had, even the few bottles in the back. it'll last me a few years i imagine.most other stuff i buy ( i rarely go over $20 bottles ), i know there will be plenty on the shelf whenever i go back, so i choose to let them carry the stock, not me. If i keep a case in my cellar, it may get broken, stolen, who knows what.....so why bother loading up on something thats always available.i'd stockpile it if: its something i love and its on a great sale, its something i love and its going out of production, or prohibition is coming back. thats it. i wont stock something i dont love even if its going away. that would be stupid.is HH white 6 year really going away? I like it, but dont love it. of so, i may put a few bottles in the cellar. but really, i kind of prefer the EW BIB NAS anyway........but the difference is so slight, id probbly buy whatever is cheaper anyway.is HH white 6 year really going away?doug Edited July 3, 2013 by 393foureyedfox

gblick
If I see something that I like for a very good price I will stock up a bit, because the prices are only going up.
PaulO
If I see a good sale price on something I like, I get a couple. In the past, stores around here have had problems keeping some brands like Weller, and Ritt on the shelves. That's another reason to grab more than one. I actually think I save gas, and waste less time this way. Plus I live in a state with no Sunday sales. We have to plan ahead.
Jackinbox
Right now I only have a couple of value pours bunkered:- A few bottles of Weller 12 and OWA. Weller 12 because of the possibility of shortages and OWA because there is a shortage of it here in Indiana. - A handle of EW Black Label that Target had on clearance for $13 a few weeks ago. ISU_grad
I don't stock up on value stuff per say. But being in Iowa when I travel somewhere that has much better prices I'll pick up multiple bottles. Usually it's four roses which can be a little difficult to find, and expensive. I typically only buy enough to make it to my next planned trip out of state though.
