BourbonGuy
I got it as a gift yesterday. Normally a bourbon drinker. Is this worth trying? Is it any good?
Restaurant man
It's good. Tons of vanilla! I think a bourbon drinker would like it
BourbonGuy
Thanks for the reply! Is this one of the better examples of cognac? I just do not know that much about them.
whiskeyobsessive
This is very smooth, simple, good cognac. Definitely better than most of big house (Remy, Henessy) VSOPs, but I'd rather have Camus. For the money, I think it's a bit too simple compared to bourbon or even scotch for the same price. This is vanilla and raisins, almost nothing else. I've had my bottle for nearly 2 years. That said, if it's a gift it is totally worth it, especially after dinner with a large group to help share. Makes a decent sidecar as well. BourbonGuy
Thanks guys. I was going to give it away as a gift if you guys said to pass. The very impressive box made me think that is where they put all their money. I would have prefered a plain package and lower cost. I have also not been that impressed with Remy and Henessy for the most part. There was one cognac I liked years ago, hennessy bras arme. Not sure if it is still around. Bottom line: I'll give it a try.
