VAGentleman
Just found out A Smith Bowman has a new Master Distiller. His name is Brian Prewitt. I plan on stopping by the distillery tomorrow to see if I can say hi and find out more about his background.

VAGentleman
Looks like he came from E&J Gallo Distillery out in California. I assume distilling Brandy.

VAGentleman
Went and met him today at the distillery, nice guy. Very enthusiastic. He was at E&J distilling for about 10 years distilling Brandy, Vodka, Tequila and Gin. He started out brewing beer at Great Divide brewing before going to E&J wine and then distilling. He was saying all the right things so hopefully everything keeps going as it has with great bourbon continuing to be made. Since its 7 years before the Bowman Brothers is bottled I guess we'll have a long wait to see for sure.
