tanstaafl2
I have just learned from the producer that Hooker House Bourbon is expected to be available in Georgia very soon. They finish a Kentucky sourced rye mashbill bourbon in pinot noir casks from Sonoma. In addition they have an MGP rye finished in zinfandel casks. The bourbon is 100 proof but there is no indication how old the sourced bourbon is. However a possible clue may be found in the description of their sourced rum:"Once the Rum is at our distillery we transfer it into our recently emptied Hooker’s House Bourbon barrels which housed our bourbon for seven years and into newer French oak barrels."Not sure if this will include the expensive 21 yo General's Reserve bourbon. The Georgia distributor is Ultimate so if this is of interest to you feel free to start banging on your favorite retailer to add it to the shelf. I already have! scratchline
Hooker's House Bourbon. My bottle reads in part:We have hand selected a 6-year old, single barrel bourbon from a bourbon-belt rick house...Front label indicates "46% rye".
