MtnDew
The Whisky Exchange posted their notes a few weeks back too.http://blog.thewhiskyexchange.com/2013/10/diageo-special-releases-2013/Wow... if only I had a spare $5k or so sitting around, I might actually get a few bottles from this release. I'm especially interesting in that Oban 21, I bet that is quite tasty.
LostBottle
I think I see a bottle of Brora in my future, they had me at "dirty".
LostBottle
I think I see a bottle of Brora in my future, they had me at "dirty".OK, I read those reviews of the Brora again and it leaves me with one question. Exactly how many are in a case?
LostBottle
· Hidden Hidden I must have made someone's good shopper list, because I got a call from the 44 today. Today the shop received 4 bottles of Port Ellen 13th and immediately sold 3. I was offered the last bottle for the very fair RRP of £1500. I thanked them and politely declined, though they will phone again when the Brora arrives.Even with the sharp retail price increase and the bottles not being available to the general public, the PE 13th sold out within a day. This is not the first store I have witnessed this at either. Edited December 5, 2013 by LostBottle Link to comment
lmasterlo
Yes, definitely use them. Just to clarify though, I tend to use them more for wine (as they are one of the few places with a great selection of well-curated first-growth Bordeaux) than whisky. That said, if they get wine right, whisky is a piece of cake and you will be pleased with their service.
