Places to Buy/Drink Bourbon in Chicago

Hi Chi-Towners or Frequenters,

Aside from Binny's and aside from Delilah's where are the other good places to make purchases and grab a cheap taste?

Near me:

Sheridan 'L' Liquors has a decent selection in my neighborhood.

Rock's on Broadway does Bourbon Nights, but I am not sure about prices (also in my neighborhood).

Elsewhere:

Andersoville Wine and Spirits, Printer's Row Wine Shop, and West Lakeview Liquors are good, but I have not checked prices against Binny's yet.

Have not been to:

House of Glunz , Warehouse, or Lush stores

Hi Guy,

Evanston First Liquors has a nice selection, but the Evanston sin tax is a bitch. Not far from you, on Davis St., just west of L stop.

Liquor Barn selection some times rivals Binny's. Closest one to you is on Golf Rd. in Niles, a bit of a challenge if you don't have wheels. (It's also not far from the Binny's on Milwaukee Ave.)

Don't often stumble into a bar that has a bourbon I haven't already tried.

For shopping: I'd reaffirm Warehouse, they have some great Barrel Selections. Longman and Eagle have a lot of call brands at a fair price and make some great cocktails. Bub City downtown has their own barrel of OWA that is nice same with their 4r barrel and a lot of bourbon, the prices are downtown though. You can find some gems on the shelf at places like Sable. In the next year expect to find a lot of Bars doing barrel selections, it will be a fun hunt for all of us to taste them.
