Going on a cruise any good stuff in Duty Free stores?

I have read that Blanton's has a barrel proof only available international/duty free, also Wild Turkey 8, 12 yr. Does anyone have an y experience with cruise ship duty free stores, or duty free stores in general? Anything else I ought to lookout for?

My experience is that you won't find much really good Bourbon. There are almost always a few very nice Scotch's, though. Of course each 'Duty Free' is it's own thing; so, I'd definitely keep checking. The old days of finding bargains there are sadly mostly (or even completely?) over; but hope springs eternal, eh?

Crossed from AZ to Mexico last winter and stopped at the duty free hoping for a good deal. You could get Jack in 40 gallon barrels for about $1.98 but everything else was those clear liquid beverages. We were guests in a Suzuki at the time and didn't have room for the 40-gallon drum so....

Not looking necessarily for bargains, though I will be in Central America and Mexico for parts of the cruise, but things i can't get here, like the blanton's barrel strength, and the turkey 8, 12. Maybe I get lucky...

Having recently been on a cruise myself you would see to many things bourbon wise in Mexico and central america. I was able to find a WT12 but that was pretty much it on the bourbon front. You may also find some JD Silver Select.

If you are going to belieze, I'd suggest trying some of their cashew wine. It's something unique that you wont find in the states.

every now and then, i might be willing to. had anything grabbed me enough (and been available.....willett and your 8 year, im talking to you) at KBF......or if on a nice vacation like a cruise........id break the rules a bit.
