"Bulleit Bourbon has been distilled at Four Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, on a long-term supply contract first negotiated when Tom Bulleit founded the brand in 1987 using a recipe handed down by his great-great-grandfather. "

Really Mark? C'mon now.

Yeah that is pretty funny. Handed down to Four Roses? I guess LDI makes his secret family recipe Rye whiskey as well.

Ha! Yes!

It just occured to me that this may actually be a joke thought up by a couple whiskey bloggers and picked up by Whiskey Cast. I heard a couple of them tossing around the idea of starting that rumor. That one was only to explain the false rumor they were planning on starting that Stagg Jr. was distilled at MGPI.

That's not even close to right, when he started he was with Ancient Age. All was produced and bottled there before Diageo took it over.

When this thread popped up in my "recent" search, I thought something bad happened to Dora's buddy.

Thread tifle updated, lest we start a rumor about the untimely demise of a cartoon character.

Thanks for correcting the tifle. It was a tifling matter but I'm glad it's fixed.

And here I was expecting a thread on another cocaine bust for Maradona. Title, tifle, trifle, lol. As I was walking through a liquor store yesterday, an employee was regaling a customer on 'what makes bourbon unique,' and he was doing a good job, until he came around to his recommendation. "It's Bulleit for my money," he said as I eyed a Four Roses small batch that was priced $5 cheaper. His neck tattoos and my hurry to keep hunting conspired to get me to bite my tongue. It never ceases to amaze me how many people have just got it wrong, but are convinced they know their stuff. A couple years deep into this obsession and just about the only thing I've learned is to ask questions and listen, cause there's always more to learn, and my memory gets worse by the day anyway. Any chance Dickel starts producing the new Bulleit?

Bad news for Diageo, good news for those Bourbon Exchange wankers. They've probably already started hoarding the "good Bulleit" for its future "secondary market."

Yeesh. The day that Bulleit is getting flipped for profit is the day I find a new type of liquor to drink.
