Old Fitz BIB and HH BIB are in my regular rotation ... JTS is on my BIB display shelf ... but have never cracked a bottle. I'd be interested in anyone's thoughts on JTS Brown BIB. Can't get any of them in WV ... have to pick them up in KY.

I have friends who shall remain nameless who like it, but it's too rough around the edges for me. I would take HH BiB white label over JTSB anytime.

I can only get the 80pr, and it's pretty nasty stuff. That said, I always put it on ice whenever I watch the movie.

I enjoy it. It's not the best low shelf option, but every so often I'll get a bottle that's very good.

Oh, I only drink the BiB version, not the low proof stuff.

I'm my opinion, Virgin>Barton 6 year>HH 6 year> Dant>JTS BiB.

Since the JTS Brown and the Heaven Hill bourbons are cut from the same fabric, they will have more similarities than differences. When I put the JTS Brown BIB versus the Old Heaven Hill BIB, the difference I notice comes primarily from aging. The Old Heaven Hill is much more spicy, hot, and young. It's also more dry and the rye comes through more. The JTS Brown in comparison seems to be aged a year or 2 further- although this difference could come simply from barrel selection as well. There is more mint and sweets with less dryness and rye. There's not a great deal of difference between the two, but I do prefer the Heaven Hill line moreso than the JTS Brown or TW Samuels because of it's dry spiciness.
