So I see a couple closed threads with a similar title, but they seem to be referring to a different bottling. I picked up a bottle of this:

http://www.anchordistilling.com/spirits/hirsch-small-batch-reserve-kentucky-straight-bourbon-whiskey

earlier this week. For $19.95 I figured I couldn't go wrong. But I didn't finish a whole glass. It tasted very young, not at all interesting and mildly unpleasant. Has anyone else experienced this and had a similar, or different reaction?

The floor is open for discussion, I think this Anchor has allowed the ship to drift very far from where Capt. Fritz intended.

They gotta say something, I sure don't expect 'em to accurately describe the product.

Absolutely....which is why I always marvel to see only 1 or 2 on the shelf instead of the entire shelf running over with unsold ones. Unless, just a ploy to make the customer think it is an actively selling product. :skep:

I think what is particularly annoying is the reference to AH Hirsch on the label.

Craig

That is what has caught my attention. It reads something to the effect of "made in the spirit of A.H. Hirsch."

Of all the bourbons I've tried, and there have been many. This is 1 of 2 where I couldn't even finish the pour. Dreadful
