I currently am enjoying Wild Turkey Rare Breed, Russell's Reserve 10 year SB and the RR Single Barrel. Looking for direction on other offerings in the same flavor profile in the under $50 range? As a side note i do enjoy Four Roses small batch, buffalo trace, and Evan Williams SB also.

Sounds like you like higher rye content bourbons. A quick google search will provide decent results... Bulleit comes immediately to mind. Should be sub $25 most places. I like the 10yr quite a bit, too.

Knob Creek Single Barrel is around $40 and 120 proof, Knob Creek Small Batch is around $30 and 100 proof. Both are on the bolder side of things. Four Roses Single Barrel is a slam dunk at $30 by me (upwards of $40 elsewhere), as it has an incredible balance of sweet and spicy. Henry McKenna BIB is under $30 and should be in the ballpark of what you are looking for. And maybe Elijah Craig 12 Yr and Elmer T Lee at under $30 as well.

Thanks for the suggestions. My local store carries E.H. Taylor single barrel for $46 and the Four Roses single barrel for $35. Any suggestions?

So based on my last post if you were in the store looking at FR single barrel and EH Taylor Single barrel what would you prefer?

id try the EHT. Ive had the 4R1B and was less than enthused, but never had the EHT. so, given the choice, Id try the EHT, just out of curiousity

I have never tried CEHT single barrel but I am trying to determine what makes it difference profile-wise than BT or ER10, other than being BIB. Is the taste that much different based on where it is stored? I don't recall, is it the mashbill 1 or 2?

Anyway, FR SB is one of my favorite bourbons and the price is very reasonable compared to the cost of lesser bourbons.

The CEHT Small Batch is priced around the price of FRSB, and seems to be pretty highly regarded. Perhaps give that one a try instead of the SB. But you simply can't go wrong with FRSB. One of my absolute favorites.
