Hi all, back after a bit of a hiatus the last few months due to my cabinet being overfilled and work piling up.

Anything that yall find easy to come by in the Louisville area that we have a tougher time finding here in Atlanta? Buddy of mine is up there a few days a week doing some consulting work and asked me if he should get anything to bring back.

So far I've got the usual suspects of the tougher-to-find bottles of bourbon world, figuring that if he gets lucky stumbling into something all the better for me, but the only one I've really been able to tell him he should be able to find without trouble and be worth bringing back is AAA 10 year and HH white label. Anything else thats common-ish in Kentucky? Maybe some of the Old Fitzgerald?

A few months ago I would have said EWBiB, but I found that local, much to my surprise and joy.

Cheers all.

Unfortunately, AAA 10 year might be more difficult to find than you might expect. I know of one place close to Louisville where you might find some, but you would need to call first. I would certainly have him hit Westport, if he can. They have some nice barrel selects. I would also look to pick up Larceny (Heaven Hill's wheater), if you like it or think you might like it.

The GBS will probably have some recommendations. Just be careful, they might expect you to kiss the goat in return for their recommendations.

Too bad about AAA 10, I had always heard it was pretty easy to come by up there. Did they ramp down production like they were talking about a few months back?

Larceny was a bit meh to me, I might have to give it another try as I'm a bit fan of most HH line and Weller too, so figured it'd be right in my ballpark but it didn't do much of anything for me.

AAA has been discontinued. There are a few strays around but most of the big box stores have run dry.

We are about 40 miles south of Louisville on I65 but we have plenty of AAA 10 year liters left. I bought a bunch before the shortage was common knowledge. Unfortunately we are out of 1.75 liters.

If he can't make it outside of Louisville, I would recommend old town liquors in the highlands. They have a damn good Henry McKenna private barrel in stock right now.

IF you see any AAA 10 year in louisville, it'll be a 1.75. there are a few here and there. HH white is everywhere for $10-11 a 750. if you want ETL, PM me and i'll tell you where there is lots, if you cant find it elsewhere.....its getting thin too

Definitely pick up a Very Old Barton BIB in KY. Can't find those anywhere in GA and it is damn fine whiskey.

Thats one that I forgot. I ran across a VOB90 proof the other day, but will definitely tell him to grab their BIB for us.

ETL we're good on here as far as I know, I think I got an open and another closed stocked away.
