So, at least right now, it is still available and still 6 years. If they change this one, I doubt they will make it NAS, they will instead just discontinue it altogether. HH already has a NAS BIB (the gold label).

Every time I go to TPS, I grab a couple bottles. The 750s are still age stated, the 1.75s are definitely NAS

To be replaced by Evan Williams white label which is already NAS.

Well I need to do these side by side soon. Up here Evan White label is 1ltr bar size and is not on the shelf retail, but in bars. I buy my bottles in Wisconsin. Is Evan white in 750ml where you gentlemen live?

I have only seen it in 750s but it's been on the shelf here for years. Oddly, often priced less than J.W. Dant BIB.

check the TPS website...........they dont have any more. maybe there was someone like me who came in and grabbed them all, baybe its on its way out....i dunno. But when i saw their website listed it as zero stock, I grabbed a case locally.

panic buying? maybe....

Id love to hear what others are seeing regarding HH6 stock. I used to see it everywhere that sold liquor, now a lot of places dont carry it at all. Both drugstores around my neighborhood discontinued ALL HH labeled products. One put the stock at half price, but by the time I saw it, all that was left were handles of HH6 90, which i grabbed also. I bought that to be for mixers and friends who like lower proofs, but have discovered it is quite good on its own too.

I plan to get another case of each the 100 and 90 proof 6 years.

Ive been watching the stock at TPS on this one. They were sold out for some time, then got one case in and is almost gone again within 2 days. One case seems like a small order for a place like TPS. I wonder if they're having difficulty ordering it, it seems like they would order this in quantity. They have a lot of slower moving stuff with stocks well over 4-5 cases

  • 4 weeks later...

HH BIB 6 year white label was back on the shelf at my local store this week. This is after being gone for awhile now. Glad to see it back and with the age statement still intact. Hard to believe this bourbon goes for $9.99.

with nearly a case in storage, Im not gonna stockpile anymore......unless its official that it's gone (that case would last me several years). Ive heard from several reputable sources that the plan is to D/C it, but the shelf stock seems to imply otherwise. Maybe the plan is a few years down the road once EWSB stocks start showing dwindling supplies. But, with the amount of stocks HH has, I dont really see where either would be in enough shortage to drop a line of whiskey.

Late last year, when I started hearing these rumors, I wanted to grab a bunch to stockpile, and it seemed not one store had more than a few, which made me think there was truth to the rumor. But, its everywhere again, which makes me think otherwise. But again, as one guy mentioned in another thread, its possible that the rumor is true, and they just bottled a bunch of it, and once that stock is gone we will see.

it is all speculation at this point though. fortunately, it is cheap enough to stockpile if its something you like. its not like its going to go bad sitting in your bunker.

what fuels the rumor more than anything is that, mysteriously, the 1.75's released in the last year have no age statement (but used to), but the 750's do. I see no logical reason to remove data from a label unless you plan to make a change to it.

I'm not trying to tell you what to do Doug, but it never hurts to bunker something you like. If there's a possibility it might be gone in the near future, that's even all the more reason to buy few more. Considering the price point that the HH 6 yr BIB is, it's a no brainer to me. I'll be coming down to Bardstown in April for the Sampler. If there's any still available, I plan on buying a few more myself.

Cheers! Joe

what I meant was that I'm not going to stockpile more than having one case on hand, unless I see it official that it is a goner. I'm not going to say that I 'love' it, but the quality to price ratio is better than any other bourbon on the planet. It's something that one enjoys while having a glass of it, but enjoys it even more when they realize what they paid for it.

So, if it becomes official, Ill clear some shelves....otherwise, Ill make sure to keep one case in storage just for preventive measures;)

fishbowljoe........if it does bite the big one, and you want some..... just let me know, and ill clear an extra shelf for you.

white label, I assume.

I didnt know you guys got HH BIB in MN. I thought you got only the 8/86, which we, for some reason, dont get here in KY.

Probably Gold Label. I've never seen the white here but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. 8/86 is going away.

I sent HH an inquiry this morning about the NAS and age stated bottles of HH BIB 6yr.

I will post the reply once I receive it

Just reordered both the gold BIN and white in 1.75L. Neither has an age statement. I would disco one of them but we have a couple loyal buyers of each. I could explain why but they are a bit "set in their ways".

IIRC the gold label BIB was age stated at 4 years old (and my favorite of the two), so the age statement was redundant.

When it becomes Heaven Hill Bottled in Haste at 36 months, I'll be bummed.

its when the 750's show up without that neck band that it will be time to worry

what is it in these pics? it says 80 proof but ive never seen an white and green 80 proof HH. The 80 HH around here is black label. Is this something sold outside KY, or is it a sign of changes coming?

I was at two stores today and saw none of these, just the black label 80. Even TPS doesnt show these at all

The 80 proof HH Old Style with the white label is sold in Ohio and I assume in other states as well as we (Ohio) don't get the BIB.

Sold in Tennessee also and has been for some time. I've long suspected Heaven Hill has a well of 80 proof that they bottle under different labels for different markets.

Same here - see it in a few states in the Northeast; the only HH BiB 6 yr I have was found in KY.
