393foureyedfox
i dont know about that. Why would they change the label, make one batch, and stop producing it. HH told me in an email that availability is down, but its still being made. Who really knows, but Im inclined to think HH is being honest. I, strangely though, am also inclined to buy every single old label HH6BIB I find, which has been hard lately.also interesting to see the 20% markup tha accompanies the banner.... Clavius
I know where 3 bottles of the old label are. I think I'll buy them tomorrow... just to be safe.
393foureyedfox
at $10-11 normal price, youd be silly not to, if you like them. Im gonna raid the rest of louisville tomorrow....3 cases would be nice, and Im halfway there.I noticed that TPS dropped all the HH6BIB from their inventory list a few weeks ago, and now the HH gold BIB is only sold in the 750 size, and is out of stock too. I like the gold BIB, the white BIB, and the green 6 year 90 proofer. I often worry that all are in jeopardy
amg
I'm actually seeing it show up in MORE places here. Not too worried about it going away, but I've got backups just in case.
suntour
I wonder where that sign is, I have a friend in Chicago who loves the gold label bib and has been told from multiple sources that same story, that it's been discontinued and won't be available anymore. Misinformed or vaguely misleading, it's a bit worrisome either way.
amg
The distributors in Indiana were telling all the retailers here that Elmer T Lee was discontinued when he passed away. Distributor misinformation seems to be a pretty normal thing.
393foureyedfox
I could easily see the white and green falling by the wayside, but the gold?! Not that the gold is an inferior bourbon by any means, but for HH to drop both its namesake BIB's? say it aint so!this place is giving me a twitch....
