TunnelTiger
My New Years resolution is to "stockpile", not "bunker" every bottle of OGD114, ETL, and Henry McK BIB before someone starts messing with it.Amen
upStomp
I hadn't planned on any resolutions this year, but stockpiling sounds good. :grin:Maybe a case or 2 of all my standards that are (as of now) easy to find.

jwacky
I would like to focus more on bourbons that aren't necessarily 'rare' but that aren't available locally.

Ravensfire
I would like to focus more on bourbons that aren't necessarily 'rare' but that aren't available locally.I like this one - requires travelling and exploring! (Okay, or paying crazy shipping charges, so I'll just stick with travel)-- Ravensfire
DrBob
I resolve to continue reducing my single bottle supplies by determining what I like most, and replacing thus emptied bottles with duplicates of those I prefer.

I need to do the same, I guess. My resolution is to replace only the Bourbons I really do like alot. My problem is that I like so many ALOT that I may actually increase my stash. Ahhh, the hell with it. My new resolution s to enjoy whatever I pour! That's a resolution I can keep!

Flyfish
I would like to focus more on bourbons that aren't necessarily 'rare' but that aren't available locally.None of the Big Three in my cabinet (AAA, VOB, OWA) is available in OH so I stock up while traveling. With AAA becoming 100% angels' share and VOB going NAS, I may need to decide on a new Big Three. Still, the principle applies. It ain't necessary for bourbon to be a limited release for it to have limited availability. In, '14, we'll be stocking up on the sub-$30 AS bourbons in anticipation of the unfortunate trend. White Dog
I'm going to drink more 4yr old rye-recipe bourbon, since that seems to be all that's left.

squire
I'm buying a case of 6 year green label 90 proof Heaven Hill. Then I'm gonna buy another.
393foureyedfox
I'm buying a case of 6 year green label 90 proof Heaven Hill. Then I'm gonna buy another. Now, that's funny. My next case will be just that. I never, ever, hear anyone on here even talk about HH 6 90, let alone talk about stockpiling it. How much is HH6 90 down in MS, Squire? it's $8.99 here, minus a 5% case discount As cheap as it is, it is rather good, and I always thought the 6 year 90 had a really catchy classy label, but only on the 750 size bottles Edited December 31, 2013 by 393foureyedfox

BFerguson
I'd like to get back to Louisville and enjoy the town and surrounding area again. Of course the means distillery visits. Great food, nice people, and lots of bourbon.B
Red One
My main resolution for the new year is a visit to the Bourbon Trail in the fall for my 50th birthday, and saving enough to bring home some nice bottles from the gift shops. Already in the planning stages. Until that happens, I plan to enjoy and share more of my open bottles, and stockpile some that I'm concerned about becoming more rare or losing their age statements, like W12 and ETL.
