Jefferson Chefs Collaboration

Not sure if this belongs in the bourbon, rye, or other forum, but posting here mods toss it elsewhere if I guessed wrong.

No luck on the search here, has anyone tried this stuff? I was offered it today when picking up a bottle of Jefferson rye. Limited edition, gone soon, etc. Decided I'd hold off since I haven't seen anything about it, and I know the Jefferson is an NDP and their releases seem to be either very nice or underwhelming old stock.

Gimmicky release, or something interesting enough to pick up?

Ah, awesome, not sure why that didn't come up searching for collaboration, but anyways looks like I made the right decision.

yes, gimmicky, but I liked it. first sip was underwhelming, but the more I got into it, the more I liked it. as per other reviews, at first it seemed one dimensional, which is surprising for a blend; but the more I sipped, the more interesting it became. It's maybe a good rye with a mediocre bourbon with maybe another bourbon tossed in???
