Can't decide if i want to finish off my last bottle of ETL while watching it (in honor of it's appearance earlier in the season), or go with something else, SB blend possibly...

Just started watching the season 1 DVD's in the last few weeks. Damn good show. Looking forward to getting through the whole series. Watched 2 episodes last night with a few pours of Kirkland (Costco) 103 proof 7 year old. It complemented the show.

So, last night (as I was enjoying some Eagle Rare), Boyd stepped up to the bar and ordered "Four Fingers of Elmer T Lee", and Art finally freed that bottle of Pappy from his desk drawer.

AAA was also in the last episode on the night stand of "the maid". Blantons, ETL, and AAA all have been in scenes so I'm guessing buffalo trace paid for some product placement.

If BT or Age International are really sponsoring the show it was funny that during the commercial break it specifically said the show was sponsored by Maker's Mark and ran adds during almost every break for it (at least in Detroit area). Then they also mentioned being out of Wild Turkey in one scene. Maybe the producer just really loves ETL and used his personal bottles during filming....

So, last night (as I was enjoying some Eagle Rare), Boyd stepped up to the bar and ordered "Four Fingers of Elmer T Lee", and Art finally freed that bottle of Pappy from his desk drawer.

Oddly, IIRC, defense counsel later ordered "rye, double," but it looked to me like he actually got served ETL, too. (Maybe he meant "BT #2 High Rye Mashbill.) The wife and I also noticed that Art seemed to be returning his Pappy not to his drawer, but to his safe--smart man!

Last nights episode cracked me up. There is a scene with a bottle if AAA on the bar. Label is turned to the side. They cut to an actor close up then back out. Without anyone touching the bottle the label is now full front and center. There must be a director who loves whiskey on this show.

Man, I saw the AAA bottle placement too! I really-really wish I could buy that stuff here in MN. I've had 2 bottles in the past. I made the pilgrimage to the Party Source probably about 3 years ago and scored my first bottle there. A friend brought me back my second over a year ago. I love this show. I was bummed he didn't shoot anybody last night!

Tonight I am going to get back into my Elmer T. Hopefully I am more into it than last time I had some.

OK, so I just realized tonight is Monday. Justified is on Tuesday. Wow, maybe I shouldn't even start drinking tonight. Its been a long weekend, day....Well the Elmer T is for sure going to come out tomorrow night.
