dSculptor
Hello to all ,first time on this site as a registered user, very interesting to say the least. I have a question for you guys out there , does anyone know if they are still producing aaa 10 yr old? I live in wisconsin and recently found a bottle on the lower shelf (lowest),what a great bourbon for the price -$19 -liter. Anyway i talked with the manager after i had taken home and sampled it,and he said that they have not had that stuff in for aver 6 months, I asked him if he had more - 1 case left - I bought it! Now from what I understand as far as bottle dating that the yr is on the bottom of the bottle if so my bottles would be dated to 2007 --old stock? I tried emailing the website but got no reply, anyway I thought I scored pretty good. Thanks -- I was told about this site when I was down in ky. this yr for the bourbon festival and was at the bourbon hotel gazebo. (best western?)Was a good time introduced John B. Stetson to one of the regulars.
black mamba
You definitely scored, the 10 yr is dc'd, and the older stuff is even better than the recent bottlings.
HighInTheMtns
Are you sure it's 10 year and not 10 star?

dSculptor
I bet! Still wondering of anyone can tell me from the previous pic of the bottom of the bottle if these are indeed from 2007 or not , That would be nice to know.
black mamba
I think all we can know from the picture is that the bottle was made in '07.
dSculptor
Any other ways to tell it's bottling date? I do have the case also but do not see anything that I would recognize as that.
sailor22
The number 07 on the bottom is an indication that the bottle was made in '07. Distilleries use just in time stocking for bottles and rarely keep any in house for very long so it's a pretty strong indicator that the juice went into the bottle in '07 or early '08. Calling it an 07 is close enough.
dSculptor
That's what I was thinking -- that to me is even a better score! 14 bottles on the wall.. 1's ready to fall!
