Eh mods can move to premium or delete if this causes too much ruckus. Didn't think about that. Doubtful you all will have to fight me though, as I can only imagine what these will go for.

I'm guessing 5x original retail. Of having to stand in line in a blizzard for some sort of auction. No chance it's going to be straightforward.

Amen. I don't have the kind of cheddar to shell out for these. I do hope some good friends buy some that they share.

Alright, I called back and they are doing it. It will only be available at the Evan Williams Experience in Louisville and they haven't priced it yet, but I was told it would be MUCH more than original retail prices and will be sold as a set and maybe individually.

I'm definitely going to have to pass. I was calling about something completely different right before the OP.

when they say a set I wonder if it will include all the different proof bottles?.. just 1-7 without all the different proofs I am thinking $5000 minimum?

The worker who decided to hold back some of this....and years later stumbled into the bourbon price explosion better be getting a promotion.

What would be cool is if they would release smaller size bottles in a set, maybe 50 or 100ml bottles? I imagine folks would pay $100 for a complete set of samples? It could be a working man's commemorative to Parker with a portion going to charity.

...she did say thousands...that's when I stopped asking questions.

My mind's-eye version of this whole scenario is making me chuckle out loud :slappin:

Lulz wished I'd never seen this.

And wish you'd never posted it. Once again my premium bourbon hopes are dashed on the rocks of the market realities.

Amazing...LOL

In other news, Kate Upton just announced that she will be giving blowjobs for $10,000 each...OK, so who's lining up? :slappin:

I can't imagine they'll be releasing bottle counts even close to matching the original release counts, which means these are going to be very pricey. I'd like to get my paws on another bottle each of 1-4, but I'm sure these will sell out very quickly...

This was one of my ideas for the special edition craze. 100 ml bottles. Antique collection set, PVW set. A vertical of 4 roses limiteds. AE set. EH Taylor set

Beam did a set with the small batch collection 50mls (at a discount over retail) and they were big sellers. They were discontinued.

BT could do a nice sampler with BT, ER, blantons, saz 6yr etc. Add a 50 ml of van winkle.

Curious, have you ever had a producer react to one of your suggestions/requests?

No. Most of my encounters are with sales people. They have little say in the product development and marketing departments. If they did, we wouldn't see the never ending parade of stupid flavored liquors.

They always think of on premise first. 100 ml bottles don't fit well in a bar.
