Whiskey Database

I am looking to develop a whiskey based app, but I cannot find a complete database of whiskeys available. Does anyone know if one exists?

Yes, similar to that. There seem to be apps out there, but none that are social-based.

Untappd didn't use some master beer DB; the social aspect is itself the DB. Any user can add a beer at any time.

You would use a database so when you go to add something you drank, it would come up as a choice (a pre-populated list). It just makes it easier to use, then having to manually add a whiskey each time.

FWIW I find myself on proof66.com quite a bit. Pretty good list of liquors.

Don't gotta add it manually each time. One person has to add each bottling manually once. Obviously you'd want a decent list to start but the social nature of the app would guarantee that the list would grow organically.

This is how Untappd works; just the other day I added a new beer... My buddy who was drinking with me just had to check it in.
