bjbronwyn
I bought a bottle earlier in the year to enter a beam competition. I loved it, cause I ended up winning the 3 bottle box set with vintage labels! Still haven't opened the bottle of bonded though! Don't know if I ever will! PaulO
I've heard Old Bourbon Hollow is/was available in KY and VA but have never seen a bottle in person. I've visited Louisville several times over the years and never saw a bottle. I specifically try every bonded bourbon I can find. I would have bought it. I would have bought it.Now that you mention it Paul, I haven't seen it in a couple of years. I have purchased a few bottles (tasty, but not remarkable whiskey), but it's been at least 3? years. I remember getting the ones I bought in Bardstown and Bowling Green, FWIW.
MyOldKyDram
I live in KY and have ever seen Hollow. Doesn't mean it isn't here I suppose.
squire
That's the hollow where the elves live and they don't let much trickle out.
smokinjoe
Maybe, Eric in E'Town can tell us if he can order it? That might indicate if it's still offered. Whatcha say, E?
squire
Yeah Eric, let us know. That stuff could be the new next thing around here knocking Bourbon Supreme right off it's pedestal.

Guest
Sure is! Jim Beam nuts will spend big bucks on their collection, same goes for the JD collectors, part of that very interesting tribal sub-culture that has developed in oz, Ford or Holden, AFL or NRL, JD or JB, sure theres a few more.Anyway, seems like you have yourself a nice little investment there. Pieface
That is one idea but an alternate theory is that they don't want to be bothered by the blending limits of the distilling season rule and/or DSP labeling rules. We get 74 proof straight bourbons here Ox. I doubt they would care about following the applicable stateside production/labelling laws overseas...
Guest
Had a side by side of KC and the current bonded, seems to be some strong similarities, the bonded is quite obviously younger and has quite a strong house style 'funk' which I think is fairly subdued in the KC. Overall a good comparison and a healthy appreciation of the bonded gained.Next is to compare some costco kirkland to the bonded.
