What's the difference between "old" (dusty) VSOF and current release? When was the earlier one made, and where? Does the bottle look the same as current release?

I recently drank a 50ml bottle from one of my Heritage Collection samplers, and it's very tasty...I'd like to keep a lookout for an old one, but how old will an "old" one be? The Whiskey Heritage Collection samplers are from 2001 or thereabouts, so it can't be that old....:skep:

They started making it back in the 50's I believe and at varying ages from somewhere between 8-15yr. The one you are talking about is from the Bourbon Heritage Collection that came out in the 90's and is pretty good. It was made at the (in)famous S-W and is still made today (at Heaven Hill) using the same bottle and label without the BHC label on the neck.
