I love me some Booker's but never buy it because its expensive in Oregon. I haven't seen a report on the rountable batch that Chuck Cowdery and some other notable names sat in on.

I've got the $60 ready to go. Someone talk me down from the ledge.

I realize asking for purchasing advice here is pretty ill advised. I'm sure the wife would love to see this sitting on the kitchen table tomorrow instead of a card or something. Just looking for your opinions. heh

It's just the current release of the stuff. I like it but no more or less than any other bottle of Bookers I've had. I wouldn't necessarily rush out to get a bottle just because it's the 'roundtable batch'. It's no more limited than any other batch has been.

I'm sure my wife would love some Booker's--even if it were just the regular small batch. I think I'll pour her some tonight. (That's no joke. She really does love her Booker's.)

I agree that it is not a hugely better or different offering than the standard Booker's. Though fwiw, when I was looking on the shelf, I had the option of a 6y2mo Booker's, or the 7y6mo roundtable edition at the same price of $48.99 at Costco. So for the extra 1y4mo of age, the 2013-6 seems like a good option.

I have to ask what may seem like a very basic question: is the roundtable batch marked or labeled any differently than batch 2013-6, or is it one in the same?

---- No special designation on the bottle/box.

6 year Booker's?! Ive never seen anything lower than low 7's.

Wonder if it still has the same 'profile' at 6 years, or if its gonna start shifting down.

I'm not sure. I'm not even positive if I was involved with both. I just know I was involved with two of them and I believe those are the only two that were done that way.

So on the label, does the batch no read 2013-6 or are there some letters and other codes in there?

That's it. Just 2013-6

It's always been between 6 and 8 years. I've seen plenty under 7.

It's my understanding that they pick it by location and profile-- within the 6 to 8 year guideline. I'd be very curious to know how many barrels typically go into a dump. To my knowledge that's not something they've ever made public.
