Can This Be Correct

I decider to try a bottle of Four Roses single barrel OBSO, I ordered a bottle online when I received it and looked at the side label it had the distilled date as Oct 18, 2002 and the bottling date as Oct 30, 2002.

Is this possible 12 days old?

I'm pretty positive it's just a slight mistake on the label. It would be a pretty safe bet that the bottling date is actually Oct 30th, 2012. Enjoy your FRSB. FWIW, I bought an OESO from Binny's last Saturday. It's pretty darned good. :yum:

Very good, my eyes read barreled and the brain went to bottled.

What is worse is I have been stuck home sick for three days so I can only look at it.

Just having a little fun. :grin: In all honesty, I really did mean to say bottled in 2013. I was looking through your FR's SB's last Saturday. I pretty much knew which one I was going to buy, but I still had to look at all of them anyway.

I once found a bottle of EWSB 2002 that had a similar error. Bought just to say I had some three month old EW

You have the distillation date and the barrel date. Now you just need the dump date and the bottling date to complete the history.

Barrel: BN 4-1U

Proof: 112.3

Bottled: 12/11/12

Recipe: OBSO
