Part one of this multiyear hunt is chronicled here:

There are some dusties here in Taipei, they are not easy to find, one needs to be knowledgeable, persistent and lucky. Saying that I did have a nice score today (in relative terms- there is no SW juice here I fear):

The shop owner did not want to sell the case of the 375s as they are real old and he wasn't sure what to do with them, but I talked him into it- each bottle was around $10. The Blanton's was bottled in Dec '02 (I pray the cork is not rotted and spoiled, it was around $50). He also informed me he had 20 more liters of 03/04 8YO 101 of which I could have 12 if I chose. As I already have 4 liters bunkered, I may or may not take him up on that. The liters are about $28 so they are a good deal for sure, but with my 12x 200ml of 93/94, and 11x 375ml 97 bunkered already, I don't have all that much room!

He also said that the will keep an eye out for old stock and let me know if he sees any. With EW BiB being imported in May (I might get a case), and my 9x 1.75 of VOB bunkered Stateside I think I may have reached Bourbon Zen.

there will come a day when you look back and kick yourself for not getting those 12 liters of 8YO WT when you could have, especially since you are in Taiwan.

I finished a bottle of WT 8 over a week in a hotel bar in Sicily back in September. Meanwhile didn't see a thing in the stores. Good for you.

Well, I don't think the 8YO 101 is going anywhere fast, maybe I'll pick it up in increments of 4 over a couple of months. Other places have it for.sale as well, but probably newer and also ~50% more expensive.
