Colonel Duke
Hello All, This is an old picture of Hunter S. Thompson's writing area from when he was working in Florida or on the campaign trial I believe. I'm attempting to experience Thompson in a new way by locating and consuming Bourbon's from his era in the brands that he drank. Any thoughts would be appreciated and bottles sent to my house will not be turned down:grin: http://winstonwolfe.tumblr.com/image/187689926
OscarV
Looks like WT 80 proof to me.If it was during the campaign trail then it was 1972.
Colonel Duke
That's what I assumed, but wasn't sure if the label offered clues. Thanks!

Colonel Duke
Thanks, but I already have all of his in first edition. The only ones I still need are the super limited books - Fire in the Nuts, Mistah Leary he's dead, and Ralph's The Red Shark.

Colonel Duke
Thanks! I need to up my dusty game. There are some bourbons Hunter writes about in some of the early books that will have to wait. For instance, he orders a double Old Fitz in an airport bar from a piece in the early 70s! Whew. Would be nice.

Colonel Duke
Fantastic! I believe there's a shot of him in the same clothes with a 101 Turkey 8-year at WKU with William McKeen.
