HighInTheMtns
Got listed here last week, $90, special order only (which in Utah essentially means on premise only.)
sutton
Thanks for the link. The article says it is a mix of old and new Bernheim - I thought I read somewhere that the old distillery was torn down in '90 or '91? So there are some 23+ yr old barrels blended into this 20 yr old label? For those that have tasted it, how would you characterize the bourbon from the old distillery to the new? I guess these are low rack location stuff so not super oaked. But at 90 proof I dunno how exciting it will be.
The Black Tot
Standing by, ready to buy this one. We shall see. I love the Old Blowhard, not so much the Barterhouse. Sounds like Rhetoric might be the meeting in the middle?tbt
ThirstyinOhio
I haven't been very impressed with the other two releases, but since I'm still in the "got to try everything phase", I'm sure I'll try to grab one or two every year.
HOF44
I was a big fan of the Barterhouse, didn't really care for the Old Blowhard, it was kind of woody for me.
JDSmith619
I enjoyed both of the OB releases but thought Barterhouse was the better of the 2I'll definitely get one..
ModernThirst
I try not to be in that "try and buy everything" phase, but unfortunately, I still am as well. I tasted the barterhouse and thought it was okay, but not amazing (really it's a value issue...$75+ is steep, IMO). But I couldn't help from buying a bottle regardless.I'll probably try to buy a bottle of rhetoric as well.
