Turned my older brother into a Bourbon enthusiast two weeks ago ....

He was down visiting from Alaska. He was a Scotch drinker but didn't really care for it too much. Tried some Jack Daniels, but had never really dove into Bourbon. He looked into my little liquor cabinet and we came up with some Elmer T. Lee. He liked it much. And he liked it much MUCH better than Scotch. :cool:

Later that week he called me up from Alaska to tell me about a rare Bourbon he was hoping to impress me with that he picked up at a liquor store outside of Anchorage. The Bourbon? Buffalo Trace.

I told him he must have missed the huge jug of it that I had in my liquor cabinet. Anywho, he loves the Buffalo Trace and I think we've got a new Bourbon fan. Which is nice.

Plus, for my birthday last week he got me some Woodford Reserve (he couldn't find a way to mail it to me, so he just sent me a check and told me what to buy ).

I already had some in my cabinet, but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. I got the Woodford Reserve. :cool:

Well, if he had told me to buy something like 'Virginia Gentleman' I would have lied and bought something else.
