I've never bought a bottle, but I was relatively impressed with its viscosity the one time I had it. At that price point, I'd go with Strathisla 12. There's new packaging, however, that I have heard corresponds to an inferior product, so get the old one in the rectangular bottle.

I love Glenmo 10. I think it is the best of their standard lineup, although I often champion the lighter whiskies.

I've run through a bottle of the Glenmo 10 and as said, it's a good, basic malt. But it's QPR for me at $39 is in no man's land between my favorite budget malts (Tomatin 12, Ardmore TC at $29) and (to me) much better malts for only $10 more at $49 (Clynelish 14, Caol Ila 12, HP12, Glendronach 12, etc.)

Opened the bottle tonight and I'm on my second. Very enjoyable and I don't think I've ever tasted a scotch like this before.

It's almost like I'm getting a hint of orange marmalade.

Well anyway it's a good change up from my new loves of rye & bourbon.

I've seen the Glen Mo Ten at $29.99 at least once a year around here. Probably the best value in original bottling SMS I've seen around me...

I would prefer those too if I could get them for $49! Not sure about HP12 and the Glendronach 12 is pretty close but the other 2 are typically a good bit more at $70+.
