wrkingsley
So I'm relatively new to bourbon. Starting to figure out what I like and don't. I get a bottle every few weeks, but usually on the recommendation of the whatever guy is on staff at the liquor store I frequent. I typically ask what's good for around $30, which seems to be about the price I feel comfortably causally dropping dough for a little experimentation. So far, I haven't been disappointed, but that's because many of those recs come with a sample at the tasting bar. So I think it's time to outsource. Of course, prices vary, but what do you all think is your favorite bottle for around $30?
flahute
Depending on where you live and what store, Wild Turkey Rare Breed can be had for a little below or above that price point.
bourboNcigars
under $30 my favorite is old grand dad 114, can be had for around $22-$25 depending on your area..its very smooth for its strength..and a ton of flavor in my opinion..
wrkingsley
OGD 114 is a "hot" pick. To go along with that, I'm currently enjoying OWA 107.

393foureyedfox
i keep a wish-list handy of things I either like and plan to re-purchase, or things I want to purchase and try (and a blacklist!)......currently, $30 offerings would include WTRB and HMBIB. I think the WTRB took a price jump though.....and the HMBIB is right at $30.I agree with the OGD114 value....a steal for $21.

corpse_welder
In the $25-30 range, Four Roses Small Batch, Old Granddad 114 or Weller 12 if you find it. In my area, Four Roses Single Barrel is about $40, as is WT Rare Breed, otherwise they would be my picks
