risenc Posted May 28, 2014 Share Posted May 28, 2014 I already knew that MGP made some liquor at its Atchison, Kans. facility, but for some reason I assumed that all its whiskey came from Lawrenceburg. An article in Shanken this morning, however, strongly implies that at least some of its whiskey comes from Kansas. Am I reading too much into that? cowdery Posted May 30, 2014 Share Posted May 30, 2014 MGP makes no whiskey in Kansas. Its only whiskey distillery is Lawrenceburg, Indiana. It is, however, now making flavored whiskey and acquiring foreign whiskey. If they are flavoring their own whiskey, it is whiskey they made in Lawrenceburg, but it's possible the base for the flavored whiskey is something they acquired from another distillery.
