I stopped by my local bottle shop and I found three bottles of Old Weller Antique 107 with the 7 year age statement on them. The owner said he remodeled the place around 2009 and forgot about a. Stash of liquor he had upstairs. Is the juice any different than the Old Weller Antique 107 that we can get now? I've was that Buffalo Trace dropped the age statement sometime around 2009. Does anyone collect these?

Cheers!

If you like wheated bourbons, there is nothing to discuss, just go get them.

far from my favorite, but even I'd have cleared the shelf.....assuming they were reasonably priced

I collect them in my belly. It's a pretty amazing collection.

They were the same price as the newer old weller 107 here in Michigan...$24.99.

But.... My real question is the juice that different? I definitely taste a difference.

It depends on how old it is. What's the embossed date on the bottom of the bottle? Even if it is a decade old bottle you should be able to see more familiarity than differences with the current production OWA.

The numbers in the lower right hand corner are: 04.5684.01

I'm not sure how to decode this.

That's the code for he label. Buy them if you like wheated bourbon and are under $25.00 Buy one if you are not sure if you like wheated bourbon.

I think they taste very similar, but the 7 yr old is better. The NAS just seems to lack depth to me.

I would have grabbed them, but I'm a big Weller fan. If the label says Frankfort, then it's like the current NAS version only aged in the barrel a year or two longer. If the label says Louisville, it's much more interesting.
