ramblinman
Nothing new to add to the discussion of this delightful spirit, but I'm a business trip in the midwest and getting my bearing around the hotel I happened into a little shop and see it on the shelf. Very excited as I am a huge fan of the HH bondeds I picked up one, and may be going back to fill up a case and UPS back home. This juice is just amazing for what it is. Unassuming, full flavored, nice body with all the typical HH notes melded together very nicely from the 6 year and at the right concentration at 100 proof. Its a shame that this doesn't make its way into Georgia. I can't think of a more perfect "table bourbon" for me. Edited June 5, 2014 by ramblinman

OGD 114 would be a close 2nd.I was also jealous to see this store had OGD114 for $19, been seeing it north of $25 in my locals. And unfortunely I'll only be here overnight and then for business meetings tomorrow, but really nice city you have here. Hotel has a great view of memorial circle and watching them get setup for the marathon now. Edited June 5, 2014 by ramblinman
smokinjoe
When you get home, try putting it in the fridge, and drinking it from out of there. It's fabulous!:toast:

I'm enjoying one right now. And at $10.49, (or $9 a bottle if you buy a case) THE bestest value in bourbonland..IMHO

Also do this with OGD BiB, Russell's Reserve or WT101 ... had all three next to each other down the shore last year, but the HH hit the bin the quickest! chrisg
Don't tell everybody! Seriously though, it is the best value bourbon out there. I've bunkered one handle and six 750's. Only AAA 10- Star comes close for me.

We just started getting HH BIB on the shelves regularly (select stores). I like it and agree with smokinjoe, chilled is fabulous!

I too keep a case of HH 6 BIB and a few of the green 90's at all times. Those two HH's, a Dickel 9, and a Booker's, and Im covered for any mood.I keep meaning to try Joe's fridge idea, I'll try to remember that when I head to bed soon. shoshani
Envy. I only see one HH expression on Binny's website, outside of their various white dog bottlings. What does Chicago have to do to get HH BIB around here?

risenc
Complete heresy, and probably pretty stupid, but: The last time I was in Kentucky, I stopped by a Liquor Barn. I had room for one more bottle in my suitcase. They had a store-select FRSB OBSK. I passed it up for a bottle of HH BiB. The cost difference might have been a factor, but look -- Park Avenue and other places up here carry their own FR selections, but you can't find HH BiB in New York for love or money. Again, stupid? Maybe. But I've been savoring every last drop of that stuff since I got home. No regrets.

Far from it.As for "heresy" I'll let the dude who invented the cult of four roses answer that.

TunnelTiger
I cna't believe they would bottle this for only two states. What label would this be under for the rest of us?

AaronWF
Drinking HH6 BiB makes me feel carefree. Maybe because it is traditionally drunk cold from the fridge, I don't know. Just makes me think of sippin without a care in the world...

What label would this be under for the rest of us?Not the first the marketed like this. VROHH 8/86 is only a distant memory from most shelves in the state. Was only here and in Connecticut. ChainWhip
I had never seen this on the shelf before in WA state - I finally spotted it at a random grocery store the other day here and it grabbed my hand and wouldn't let go. In any event, I plan on doing a SBS with OE7-101 in the near future. Edited June 8, 2014 by ChainWhip
