Phil T
There's a whole thread dedicated to this. For some reason, the family sized bottles dropped the age statement. But the 750ml, still has the 6yr age statementAnd the new label for the 750ml, carries the age statement
BootsOnTheGround
HH is no stranger to weird market distribution. I thought I read they have over 80 whiskey labels they sell all over the world. Here in MN we shared their 8 yr bourbon with Rhode Island and maybe another state for years but now its discontinued and an official dusty. I find one randomly to this day, but its all but gone. Dont think I've ever seen the 6 yr BiB here on the shelves. The black label 100 prf NAS is everywhere, though.

If something is consistently age-stateable HH will do it.

squire
Heaven Hill seems to do a balancing act with it's brands, offering more age and less proof in some (EWSB) and less age with higher proof in others (EWW BIB) which I suspect is to keep prices in line and the regulars happy. fishnbowljoe
It's a good bourbon at a good price. I love it. Even though I still have a few bottles in my bunker, I just couldn't resist picking up a couple more bottles while passing through Kentucky on vacation. 393foureyedfox
thats the gold label 4 year BIB......but what is more worrisome is the green one next to it without the 6 year label on it. did the 1.75 size of those stop saying 6 year on them, as the 6 year white has done in the 1.75 size? if so, at least it doesnt say '6*".... Perhaps that's a 4-year 90-proofer? The green labeled 1.75L hasn't had a 6-year age statement around here for as long as I've been paying attention (a little over a year). I like it when a company tries to keep the regulars happy. With all the time I spent transcribing the gold bottle label, I could just as easily have posted my own pic.
