Mardbrown
Will be driving through Kentucky and stopping by Four roses on my way to Nasheville. I'm in love the the HH4BIB and have never seen the 6 year in Virginia. Anyone point me in the direction of finding this stuff?

Im glad that the HH6 is 2/3 the cost of the FC, because Id take HH6 over FC anyday, even if the prices were the other way around.how did you think the two compared? Lepisto
After reading this thread and one of foureyedfox's many posts about HH6BIB White, I went looking for it and found a few bottles with what appear to be the new label. I'm still pretty new to bourbon, and this was my first value bottle. I'm not great at tasting notes but after my first taste I thought it was bad and I could only describe it as "bright." However, after a couple of weeks and getting past the neck, it has really opened up for me. Much softer now, and I get a bunch of caramel in the nose. I'm a believer now, and look forward to having a little of this most nights. I might even start bunkering it, once I exhaust the shelves of VOB 6 Year age stated. Drank my last two bottles last summer and now regret it. Should have saved at least one of them. Probably both.

I'm in the process of exhausting the shelves of VOB 6YO from retail shelves, not my own shelf. I've only seen a couple places that still have it mixed in with the newer labels. Both the 90 and 86 proof.
Flyfish
Id take HH6 over FC anyday, even if the prices were the other way around.how did you think the two compared?I drink FC for ceremonial purposes. Specifically, it is the bourbon of choice for every South Carolina game. Unfortunately, I finished my last bottle yesterday and am not likely to replace it before January--when the Gamecocks are not likely to be playing. Lepisto
Has anyone heard any new news on the status of HH6BIB? I'm doing some advance scouting for an SB'er who is coming down to NKY to stock up on some bottles, and he was wanting some HH6BIB. I went to the one location where I've bought it in the past, and it was gone. I asked if they could order more, and the owner told me he tried a while back, but they told him it was discontinued. Has anyone seen it replenished in your go-to stores recently?

amg
It's been restocked recently in Indianapolis. With the recent label change, it's surely not discontinued.

393foureyedfox
HH themselves told me its not d/c'ed, its just harder to keep up these days. I didnt exactly trust that, so I went out and grabbed two cases worth all over Louisville a few months ago. Now, I see it popping back up in some places with a new label, same price. I still dont regret the two cases though, especially not at $125 a case. Try the large chain stores in KY, they usually have it. Also, the Rite-Aid pharmacies usually have it.the green label 6 year 90 proofer is worth grabbing a few of as well, especially at $
Lepisto
I went ahead and emailed HH to be safe. I'll post if it is bad news. I first tried this bourbon based on this thread. Of the 7-8 bourbons open on my bar, I think this one might be my favorite. I only have 1 bunkered, so I might start picking up what I can find. TunnelTiger
It appears HH has cut Ga off from this label as I haven't seen any on the shelf in some time. Well at least in my neck of the woods.

TunnelTiger
When did you last see it? I didn't think the 6 year bib was ever here.To my knowledge you are correct. I was referring to the total lack of any HH labeled bottles in my area. I should have been more specific.

Lepisto
Good morning guys. Has anyone seen this in the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area lately?Hey Phil, I had one retailer that was my go to place to get it, and one day recently I went and he was out of it. He tried to order more but his distributor said it was being discontinued. He called his other store for me and they had two bottles left. I picked up one. That was about 4 weeks ago. I asked another retailer in NKY if they could order it, and they checked with their distributor who said it had been discontinued. I contacted HH to ask if it was, in fact, discontinued and instead of answering my question, they gave me a list of places to buy it in the area. I checked all of those places and they no longer had it. I follwed up to HH's response asking if again if it was discontinued and never got a response. Others on this thread have said that it is being restocked in their area. Not sure if it is a distributor thing or if HH is cutting off NKY. I'm not sure how those things work.
