bicktrav
Tasted Pappy 15 against Willett 11 last night. Thought Pappy was excellent, but the Willett 11 actually edged it out. I was surprised. The Pappy was definitely an amazing bourbon with all the classic flavors in elegant harmony, but the Willett just blew me away. Much of it had to do with the texture. The Willett was just so thick and velvety. Pappy had that too, but not to the same degree. Both amazing bourbons, but hype notwithstanding I prefer the Willett. Anyway, figured I'd share. Kyjd75
It is amazing what Willett can do with those WFEs. I bought a couple of 11 yr bottles at the GS recently and they are simply outstanding. In fact, every WFE I've had has been terrific. Not ready to say better than PVW15, as that is probably my favorite of them all. But, yes indeed, regardless of where it comes from, Willett WFE is really good.
MyOldKyDram
You know there are probably a hundred different kinds of Willett 11, yeah?
bicktrav
Yes I know. Unfortunately I can't give you any details on the bottle. I was tasting at a local whiskey bar. They poured it. So since I don't own it I can only tell you it was a Willet 11 year. That's it.
