Still working my way to the bottom of a gifted Bulliet 750. I need the space on the shelf. It's not bad, but . . .

The good news - Nats playing the Braves who have Strasburg's number, so I may finish it tonight.:drinking:

Some DSP-14 OGD BIB. Well, what can I say that hasn't been said? Yep it's full on butterscotch. Glad to have a taste of this.

Enjoyed a couple pours from a friend's bottle of normal (non-store select) Henry McKenna 10 SB today. It was absolutely outstanding, with a spicy-sweet rye forward presentation of HH goodness. Based on that, I'll be buying another bottle soon, preferably from the same store as my friend's bottle.

Broke into the dwindling stash of vintage '84, ten yr old, ER 101 for about three fingers worth of goodness graciousness.

Huge FR fan. A couple of pours of FRSB standard were good but just not doing it tonight! Followed with a pour of ETL Comm. That's the ticket!

SAOS7 tonight. I haven't had this in a while and now I regret it. Super smooth with lots of caramel.

HH6BIB tonight. It makes me wonder why this isnt a staple everywhere. For $10 it is untouchable, and can easily hold its own with most things under $40. When/if this gets d/c'ed, im pulling the truck out and going shopping all day

To continue my weekend of overindulgence in celebration of the closing of a major chapter of my career at work, I am starting the morning out right with coffee that happens to have OGD114 in it and whipped cream on top. Brilliant combo, BTW.

Hi Guys. Tonight I am drinking two bourbons with diet coke.. (MY BAD) Elmer T. Le Single Barrel and Knob Creek Single Barreel.. I can drink both neat. But much prefer to have them with diet coke.. The Diet coke soothes any initial burn after a big swallow neat.. I love to drink FRSB Neat The standard OBSV is one of my all time favorites.. Later this year I plan to buy a Private Barrel at Barrel Strength for OBSv & OBSK I may add one of the lower Rye versions.. Life is good.. Except after 2-3 2 Oz Pours I get hungry and it is playing havoc with my weight this year.

Been rocking FR lately. Made the switch to ECBP 137/EC18 tonight (50/50). Nice solid pour at 113.5 proof. Dropped a couple of small cubes in it and bam!

ER store pick tonight. Easy drinking and thick, clingy legs on the side of the glass.

Counting down the days till I hit Louisville in a week and a day.

Some OGD 114 to start and a pour of the 4R 2014 LE to finish after long, long day working on the house. Some things make home maintenance worth the effort.

Blanton's followed by ETL. Once again, I found the current ETL lacking, as it certainly did not hold up well at all against its cousin. Young, very alcohol forward and thin. Glad this one was from bar stock instead of a bottle purchase.

games night with some friends. The host likes to mix his Kirkland blended whiskey 80 proof in old fashioneds. I always cringe at the thought of either. So, tonight, we showed up with pizzas and some HH6BIB and Larceny and McKenna BIB. He admitted the Larceny was much better than his Kirkland but said the other two were too hot for him. Another liked the HH6 but not the McKenna, saying it was too smoky. I didnt have anything but the HH6, and polished it off. Time to get another!
