I'm surprised this one doesn't get more press. I remember someone on here describing it as close to barrel proof and 9 years, and cheap, as it is $27 in my area.

i think thats because it is easily available and because of it's Beam heritage. The two together make bourbon snobs overlook it. If its not $100+ and hard to get, it must not be good, right?:rolleyes:

I couldn't agree more Doug (with the exception of the not any good part:grin:)! We know it's good, but we just take it for granted.

If this was a $89 limited, folks would be lining up for it IMO.

Up here it's priced within $10 of Booker's. I also think Knob Creek is a little too sugary for my tastes. I've heard the 60% version is typically drier (barrel depending), but I'll still need to try it prior to dropping $50+ on a bottle.

I get that. It's regularly $35 or less here which makes it an easy buy for me.

Howdy,

Fantastic pour! Available locally for around $38. Better than Old Forester signature and worth the extra dough-when I've got an extra $14!
