Hey Guys, I recently obtained this bottle and I have been wondering about its origin and history. I've conducted some research on the brand and the distillery but I cannot come up with any conclusive information. I can't find a similar looking bottle either. The bottom of the bottle has a "67" and the volume is stated as "Imperial Quart". Also, there is a graduated volume marketing on the side of the bottle.

Does anyone have any specific information or history? Thanks!

I'll start by saying this appears to be an export version of IW Harper circa 1970. Standard six year old 86 proof stuff that should serve well in both blind and comparison tastings. The high corn mash bill has never been my favorite but this brand was widely popular during it's day.

Imperial quart would mean it was export for U.K. or maybe Canada before they went to the metric system. It looks like it has a tax strip across the cap. Sometimes there is info there. Did the bottle come with any back story about provenance?

The bottle was found in Detroit which would explain the Canada association. The tax stamp only says "USA" on it. I think it had cellophane over it which probably had the tax strip. Thanks for the info!

It's nice that they provide the graduated units on the side so you can track your consumption!
