I would clean the shelves for $18 a bottle of OGD114

I slowly am. He's got bottles from 2012 still. I just don't buy all of it once, but it's there every time I walk in store.

Current OGD prices in Vermont are $15 for the 80, $17 for the bonded and $23 for the 114. Plus 6% sales tax of course.

made some ribs the other day with Kraft hickory smoke bbq sauce, real maple syrup, honey, OGD114, and habanero powder. damn was that awesome! I usually do it with some other basic 100 proof bourbon, but decided to add the 114 and the maple syrup to the bowl this time, and it was notable better. plus, of course, you have to have some to sip on while basting the ribs over the charcoal......

Substitute a bag of brown sugar for the bbq sauce, add some orange juice and you have a great base for cooking a ham on the grill.

Everything goes better with a little OGD114.

I swear I'm the only shopper that can see the bottles of OGD114 on the bottom shelf of a local supermarket-sized store. They don't seem to move around on the shelf at all, just collect a little dust and wait for me to drop by again in a few months to cull the herd...

Love that exchange between TT and squire so I turned it into a sig. If either of you object let me know and I'll remove it.

Maybe pa just sucks (kidding I know it does) and maybe not ten but.. you have year round surplus of OWA, Weller 12, the line of Balcones(maybe not super popular but something I would try if available, OGD 114, WSR, not sure if you have it but I've heard most brands from High West are always on shelves along with SAOS, maybe not ten, I could think of more over time. Many of those are not only gone from other states but I think you have handles readily available of some, not to mention you have unbelievably low prices esp the OGD114. Not personal I'm just jealous, but its probably just due to higher sales and more bourbon fans in Texas. You can't complain I know that. We're still all in a mostly good bourbon country so I can survive ;-).

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I just don't want you moving down here and expecting a bourbon mecca.

...or this..

There are plenty of things that make Texas the greatest state in the nation

All this talk led me astray, sort of - double OF glass with 1" of 114 before I dropped in 5 icemaker cubes. It's hot out tonight, hence the ice. AND, I spent 4 hours on I-95 doing 15 mph. What a nice way to cap a 2:1 Bourye & Dolins Manhattan. Road rage? Not lately.

I don't understand why Honolulu traffic has been cited as the worst in the country - you never need sit in traffic for 4 hours here. 2 hours is a bad day. Nothing a pour of OGD can't handle.

I've had no luck finding OGD 114 or 100 in Austin. Twin doesn't even list it. None of the Specs near me have it. I'm now looking at the non-chain stores. But Basil Hayden is only a little more and very available

114 is one that's in about half of the stores around here, maybe fewer. Spec's can definitely get it for you.

Or you can go sit on the beach for 2 hours (or just about anywhere outside!) and drive home in 30 minutes. It's a win, win!

After reading this whole discussion, my next purchase will be OGD114. Only one establishment has it in this immediate area, and it's priced at $25.
