Hi guys

I recently acquired a couple of older FRYLs.

Hope you can help me out with dating those bottles.

Here go the pictures for the first one including a screenshot from MastersOfMalt that seems to show the same bottle and dates it as a 90s bottling.

Your help and tips for putting a date to those bottles is much appreciated!

If so I was going to offer thanks for volunteering to look up the information.

Ha! Didn't scare me away, just didn't see his post until now.

Yes, I am the Regional Sales Manager for Four Roses Distillery. I cover Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

A date with a bottle of FRYL will cost you about $17 in Indiana and she will even let you kiss her on the lips!

bw - Might I suggest that you send more FR to Indiana, especially the LEs?

Welcome aboard bw, it's always refreshing to have a company representative contributing here and taking an interest in supplying useful information. I find it easier to support a company that I believe is supporting me as a customer.

Obviously word of our cult has found it's way to the powers that be.

Can you post a picture of the bottom of the bottle? There should be identifying marks from the glass manufacturer that will help us determine the exact year. It is from the 90's as originally thought.

so I took some snaps before I got out of the house this morning - before reading this post though.

these shots are from the bottle I've posted already (let's call it bottle 1).

the following snaps are from bottle 2:

Bottle 1 and 2 are 1 liter bottles.

Bottle 3 is 0.7l and has an italian tax stamp.

Bottle 4 is 0.7l or 0.75l and the oldest of the bunch I'd figure

Awesome. Thanks. I will be with Al Young ( Four Roses Brand Ambassador ) all of next week. I will have him look at these pictures and post back what info he can tell me about them.

Cool thread. I have been so impressed by Four Roses products, but even more so by their support staff. I email a couple of guys fairly regularly and they email me back hours after I've reached out.

Also, is it just me, or does the dusty 6-year age stated 86 proof Yellow Label sound as enticing to anybody else as it does to me?

I missed this thread before. Very curious to hear the results. I met Al Young when on my tour at Four Roses in May. Great guy to talk to and was nice enough to sign a bottle for me.

Was so cool that a 4r rep had taken an interest--but the sound of just crickets all these months is disappointing. Maybe he works for Saz now?
