Rhetoric in Maryland

Hello All,

I have called all my regular honey holes, that had carried Barterhouse and Old Blowhard and no one has Rhetoric nor do they know if they are even getting it at all. Anyone know of anywhere in Maryland that has or possibly will have Rhetoric?

I live in VA but frequent MD stores. I have yet to see it anywhere in the area. I'm under the impression that the release has not hit this area yet. Keeping my eye out though.

I found Barterhouse at Wine World in Harford County for $74.99 and I am pretty sure they still have some. I bought the last bottle of Old Blowhard at a liquor store near Canton in Baltimore City for $149.99. I saw another bottle at a store in Carroll County for $199.99, passed on that one and I am sure it is probably still there.

Both the total wines in MD actually had Blowhard and Barterhouse for a number of days. Long gone now, obviously. I still see both on occasion, but for vastly marked up prices. I'm sensitive about sharing location though. If the location of my $49 Lagavulin 16 hoard got out, my wallet would never forgive me.

BTW, you folks who have been using this store for your supply of special release bourbons will want to plan to get there a bit more quickly in the future.

I know I mentioned the name, but Stan is a great guy and I'm more concerned about seeing his sales grow than having some secret source for only a select few. I can remove the post if you would think it advisable.

I was going to go and edit the name out, but it won't let me. There are a bunch of other stores that I know of in and around Baltimore that get quite a few special releases too, but I won't be naming any of them. I mention Midway because Stan not only gets some good stuff, but his standard selection is good too- and not just in whiskey, in everything. He's worth the visit for any beer/wine/liquor want.

I do apologize for naming the store on a public forum, but I saw no harm in it due to the fact of other threads being loaded with locations, names, counties, or lists with this sort of info on them. The fact is, Stan knows his customers and makes sure that his customers are taken care of. I guess I'm of the mentality too that "It's only whiskey." and it makes little difference to me whether I get a bottle of something or don't for most items. I was honestly only trying to help to OP find some of what he's looking for and also introduce him to a nice little store with friendly employees. I didn't mean to destroy anyone's secret spot or purposely make it hard for someone to find something. My intention was just the opposite. Since it appears I've done much damage to this thread and pissed off some people, I'll shut up and exit this conversation.

Just getting your bawls busted to remind you, the application is a bit more requiring here, so many flippers or dbags or people who just search google for all posts relating to rhetrc, papy, pvw15,23, aren't registered members but they're seeing this and waiting for people to tell them where to buy every bottle of "insert aficionado lovers dream bourbon here" you get the point. We're all bourbon lovers here, just keep in mind many thousands of dbags who want to buy every bottle of bookers 25th etc from a store see this site, and they will buy that stash with every intention of selling on fagslist for a 200 percent markup.
