I've tasted it before the boom and felt it wasn't something worth the money to me. I prefer livelier and spicier whiskey, and I can't say I view the current insanity with much regret.

My biggest regret is the "rising tide lifts all boats" issue. I firmly believe the Pappy craze morphs into a craze for virtually anything limited edition. Trouble finding a GTS (definitely "livelier and spicier") or 4R LE SmB or the latest Parkers Heritage? Blame it at least in part on Pappy.
