heydobro
I was absolutely thrilled to find two bottles of dump 5 on the shelf on Cleveland yesterday for $45 each, my first ECBP. I'm relatively new here and am looking forward to participating in my first BOTM with this bourbon
Ravensfire
Damn, damn, damn, damn! Literally all of my bottles of ECBP have been packed away in preparation of selling my current house and buying a new one. Worse, they are all in my dads wine cellar! This was my first bunkered bourbon. Found a batch 3 and was just blown away. Thanks to a friendly SB member I found a couple more. I've been lucky enough to find a couple of batch 4 bottles as well. Just everything good about EC12 writ large. Wonderful!
GaryT
I'd next come up with "10yr Old Fitzgerald Barrel Proof"... Where do we phone in our votes on this year's season of American Idol (Distillery Edition)? That would be amazing!
amg
"10yr Old Fitzgerald Barrel Proof"That's what the 2010 PHC was, right? It would be great if they made that a regular release!
Trey Manthey
I still haven't tried anything other than Batch 1. I bought several bottles, and I love it, but it's going to last a while.
smknjoe
Excellent bourbon at an excellent price @ ~$38-$48. Heaven Hill really delivered with this label.
garbanzobean
Just to be contrarian: I really enjoyed my bottle of Stagg Jr from the first pour. It's rough but tasty. My first bottle of ECBP was decent, but struck me as closed off with a lot of the typical smells and flavors that alert me to this. Made sure to give later glasses 30-40 minutes to breathe until the bottle settled down. Where the Stagg Jr was like getting hit in the face by a bag of alcoholic burning brown sugar andbaking spices, ECBP is like taking a swim in cake frosting. It's a bit on the sweet side for me to enjoy daily, but a few glasses a month certainly make me happy.
Thig
If it ever makes its way to Central Georgia I will be glad to try it.
El Vino
At $90 here in NJ, it is a pass. I got two bottles of Batch 1 while traveling on business. One left. Will keep an eye out for more on future trips.
Mardbrown
Currently have a bottle opened and three bottles stashed. To me its not something I want to drink everyday. I really crave it when I want to indulge, like say a dessert. I also agree that its better after sitting for at least twenty minutes, especially if sipping neat. With all that said I love it and buy it every time see it.
JDSmith619
I love the HH offerings and I stock up on ECBP every chance I get. Kansas City seems to get a decent supply on a regular basis or the distributors are hoarding it.Compared to the Stagg Jr.... I can drink ECBP neat and cherish every drop. HighHorse
New batches keep popping up. One (4th or 5th release) hit Florida in July.
bourbonfoot
First batch was $39, current batch(es) are $49 and apparently future will be $59 around here. At any of those prices I still call this (one of) the best values in bourbon. An absolute steal and maybe my favorite bourbon. Cheers!

brettckeen
Great value, it's interesting to see how the batches vary by balance. I still haven't had one which topped the gift shop single barrels though.
biskuit
Love love love this stuff. Even at $60 this is a great buy in today's market.
Bourserker
I killed a bottle (137 proof) of this recently, and thought it was awesome.
ramblinman
I need to pick up another bottle of this stuff. I got my hands on one of the first bottles to get into Atlanta and loved it. Nursed it for almost a year before finally finishing it off with a neighbor during the last ice storm we had. Just fantastic stuff, I wish I would have had the discipline to set aside a bit for comparison of batches, but that day it wasn't in the cards
Edward_call_me_Ed
We should be so lucky that this was not a dream! Oh wait, it wasn't.Oh, for me it is just a dream. Until I looked at this thread I didn't know this existed.
MTNBourbon
I passed on a couple of bottles in Jan, not knowing what it was, well mostly because of the 140 proof, but that will not happen again. It just might show up again real soon.
BourbonGuy
I LOVE ECBP! If I could find more of it, I'd bunker a couple cases, which would last a good long while, since it is so satisfying in slow tiny sips. In fact, that's the only way I truly enjoy it neat. It's tooooooo much to drink neat, except slowly, with a lot of time between those tiny sips. I get way more cocoa/chocolate in ECBP than any other Bourbon. That doesn't automatically make it a fave (though I am a known chocoholic); but it doesn't hurt it. It has a rich, thick mouthfeel, full body, and long warm finish. Not to mention the really FULL flavor and broad aroma. All this makes it among the best for my money to be had. The price/value ratio on ECBP is one of the best out there, in quite a long time. All this is just One Man's Opinion; (mine!) of course. After I read this, I saw a bottle for $53. I previously passed and now purchased it. This is right on. I went back and purchased his two remaining bottles.
MTNBourbon
Forgot about this thread. I did get a couple of bottles of Batch 6 last weekend. Very very smooth for such high proof.
