Thinking about picking these up. They are about 60-70 bucks. Any info? They look like booker's but seems to be some kind of special bottling?

Looks like some kind of special Booker's for the Japan market? I wouldn't hesitate at all to pick that up at that price. Worst case it's Booker's, which is pretty good.

I thought this was a second generation (Fred's) version of Bookers for the Japanese market.

Ahhh...found some info on them. Apparently its like private bottlings of booker's selected by Fred for a Japanese market.

Yeah, my uncle is picking up a bunch of stuff for me to take when I visit in January, the conversion rate is so favorable to the dollar right now, something like 110 yen to a dollar. I'd love to visit that store and taste it for 2 bucks.

Ahh... just found this thread after reading about your plans to pick up some booze during your travels. Wonder if you could open a bottle while you are there to see how it measures up to other older, high proof Beam offerings. Obviously not a high risk either way, but would be fascinating to read your tasting notes.
