Started with some Bernheim 7yr before moving on to WT Diamond. Wrapping up this afternoon with some Noah's Mill. Amongst so many other lovely bottles, I have overlooked this one for months - and as I sip it wonder why. Perhaps I'm blessed to have never tried the age stated variety, but for what I paid for this one, it is a very nice bourbon. Rich creme brulee with a nice balance of oak and sweetness.

A little vatting of a dusty 86 proof AA, and a current, regular OWA. The mixing of the two brings out the best of both. The AA gives it the basic taste and mouthfeel of "the good old stuff" while the OWA gives it just the extra "oomph" that it needs. Quite tasty overall IMHO.

Finished off a bottle of Smooth Ambler Old Scout, 8-Year, Crown Liquor Selection. I have had several bottles and more in the bunker. Really like it. Followed up with Crown Selection FR OESF. Nice and minty.

pulled the motor out of the donor car/parts car today, and sold it, so now I can get to all the stuff I really need.

then, I came in on an empty stomach and went a little too gung-ho on the WTRB, need to pace myself next time!

Opened up the Binny's pick OBSO that's been sitting on the shelf for a few months. Oh, man! This is the third 4R private selection recipe that I've tried and is by far my favorite (others were OBSK and OESQ). It has that spicy, almost peppery note that I liked in the OBSK with a huge red berry flavor that I just can't get over. I really wish I had a few of these bunkered away.

What is your car project? I have two 64 Buick wildcats. One is for parts but it is sometimes hard to say which one.
