Drank a 60/40 blend of Bernheim and ECBP. Delicious and super complex!
I don't do much vatting but this sounds very interesting; hope to give it a go Thursday or friday

Suddenly your sb.com handle makes sense.

Is that a Galaxy 500? Very nice. I have always thought those are one of the best looking Fords ever made.

nope, its a '66 Plymouth Fury.....dad's aunt bought it new, and since Im the only Mopar enthusiast in the family, it found its way to me. dad, ironically, IS a galaxy 500xl fan, but loves the 63-64's.

Last night it was Early Times Browns Export KSBW in a NEAT glass. It is very pleasant with lots of pulpy fruit flavors. But as I got further into the dram, I found it to be cloyingly sweet which surprised me. I followed this up with some WT Old #8 86.8 from 1994 that was divine. It was also very sweet, but far richer and and a bit of balancing rye at the end. The NEAT glass really ups the flavors due its reduction of fumes to the nose burn. This can be very good with good to great bourbon, but the weaknesses of bad bourbon are exposed rather quickly. Two nights ago, I had a dram from a half full liter of 4RY that has been open for roughly 4 years. It's nose was gone and so was alot of its taste. It was rather flat. I poured some in a Glencairn and after some work, noticed the same thing. Whats strange is that a week ago I didn't notice this degradation. Now I have the fear of the the unconsumed bottle! It is real and somewhat scary!

Finishing the night with a pour of PHC8. Better w/ a few drops of water than it is neat. Definitely exceeding my expectations this year.

After an outstanding Judas Priest concert at Gwinnett Arena I enjoyed a vatting of 4RBS OBSQ and OESV, neither stellar on its own (one was awful to my taste) but together its a nicely balanced pour and very enjoyable vive le vatting!!

Bittersweet celebration of the Allman Brothers last? concert - played Live at Fillmore and had a healthy pour of PVW20 followed by HHSS/2, a wickedly delicious combination.

Watched the Royals romping all over the Giants with OGD114 on ice.

On reflection, 114 on ice is probably my #1 pour in the "mass market bourbon" category.

Maybe. More research is needed.

Some ND Bourbon de Luxe. The only 80 proof bourbon in my stable (at the moment), and glad it is there. Not quite the butterscotch bomb as ND Old Taylor, but the family resemblance is there (and absolutely the best "value pour" I have considering the bottle was under $10!)

Standard Four Roses Single Barrel and now Noah's Mill. The Noah's Mill is exceptional tonight.

EC12. Didn't like this at first, but it is really growing on me.

I honestly felt the same way. But I find it very enjoyable now. Id like to say my palate matured.
